Hello – In this blog, I would like to cover the steps in switching a users license in Business Central. In this example I will cover switching from a Team Member to an Essential/Premium License in Business Central. The same steps can apply when switching any users license. We have seen some instances where the change has been made in Microsoft 365 Admin Center and the user tries to perform tasks that are associated with an Essentials/Premium user. They are presented with the following error:
You are logged in as a Team Member
After the licenses have been changed in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center the Administrator will need to go into Business Central Users page and click Process > Refresh User Groups
This will sync that users license from Microsoft 365 Admin Center to Business Central.
